We specialize in design and manufacturing of Magnetic Fluid Conditioners (MFC)

When considering installing MFC’s to overcome a scale problem, it is important to first assess:

  • What is the chemical composition of the scale.

  • What is causing the scale problem.

  • How severe is the rate of scale build up, etc.

  • Customize, design and install our Magnetic Fluid Conditioning technology engineered for the specific problem area(s).

Scale X Technology is an engineering company

Scale X Technologies engineering team first assess the cause of the scale problem by working with Production & Maintenance Managers within companies to assist us with data to allow us to design a customized engineered MFC to treat the scale problem. This can be a difficult challenge as often all relevant data may not be monitored or available and engineering estimates may have to be made where necessary.

Scale X Technology assists our clients in evaluating and reaching a workable solution for the problem(s).

Application Specific MFC Customization

Scale X Technology engineers a range of customized MFC’s to cover a variety of applications and industries. New designs are developed as and when required.

In-line MFC Type 1

This type of MFC is for installation in large diameter piping, for example, on Offshore O&GP Platforms, Commercial buildings and Industrial Cooling systems, and other heavy industry applications.

In-line MFC Type 2

This type of in line MFC is for use in applications for pipe size up to 100mm diameter. Typical applications include heat exchanger and cooling tower systems for industrial and commercial processes and small building air conditioning systems. Also used in the food processing industry.

Well Head MFC

These MFCs are installed on Offshore O&GP Platforms just down stream of the Well Head choke valve. The MFC is located in a steel spool as shown. The spool and transition flange are supplied as part of the MFC package.

Pipe Insert Type MFC

This type of MFC is usually installed in vertical pipes. It is located at a flanged joint and the locating ring replaces the inner ring of a spiral wound gasket. The photographs show the MFC being installed using wooden guides to control the attraction of the MFC to the sides of the steel pipe.

Vessel Type MFC

These MFC’s shown here are installed inside a water & oil separation vessel on an Offshore O&GP Platform. They are located on the outlet stand pipes.
